To embark on a new journey, you don't need to count every step ahead—just taking the first step is enough.

When it snows, I like to walk so that my footprints remain on the snow. I want to leave my traces behind. I don’t want it to seem as if every day is the same—as if I were never there. I want the empty spot of a leaf in a corner to speak of my absence. I want a puddle filled with rain to remind me of you. I want a night when the air is clear and filled with stars to remind you of the faintest star. I want a short melody or the scent of caramel in coffee to remind you of me.
I don’t intend to change the world, nor to make it better or worse; I only wish that the small details, like flowers by the street or the trees you pass, would touch you differently because of me. I hope your mood shifts when you pass a particular tree, that waiting in the rain brings you joy. I want you to look both happy and sad, you see. I don't ask much from this world. But if you find yourself smiling as you read this, then I've touched your soul.
